Summary#
I joined the Bachelor’s degree program in Chemistry at the Federal University of Santa Catarina in early 2015 and completed it in late 2018. During this period, I actively participated as a student researcher in the liquid crystals synthesis and molecular materials research group at the same institution. I also learned characterization techniques for material research, such as DRX, DSC, TGA, and optical microscopy.
I obtained my Master’s degree from the State University of Campinas, focusing on Organic Chemistry, under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Rodrigo Cormanich, at the LETOC Laboratory (Laboratory of Experimental and Theoretical Organic Chemistry). Initially, my work involved organic synthesis aimed at discovering new pharmaceuticals for neglected diseases, such as malaria and Chagas. Later, during my tenure at LETOC, I gained proficiency in operating NMR equipment, enhancing my skill set in analytical methods. My research at LETOC was centered on analyzing the influence of Fluorine on the stereo-electronic properties of organofluorine compounds.
Currently, I’m pursuing my Ph.D. in the Molecular Electronic Structure Group (GEEM), under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Giovanni Finoto Caramori. My work revolves around developing and analyzing new systems for anion recognition. Additionally, I have a keen interest in applying artificial intelligence in electronic structure methods and exploring other interdisciplinary areas of chemistry.
